According to the monitoring by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the average air quality of 11 of 13 cities in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region was good, while that of the other 2 cities was excellent. Among them, Xingtai City has the worst air quality, with an average AQI index of 74 from 9 to 11, and Qinhuangdao City has the best air quality, with an average AQI index of 39 from 9 to 11.
Tangshan Meteorological Observatory announced the rainy situation at 7:00 on August 12, 2019: Influenced by typhoon "Lichma", rainy and gale weather appeared in our city from day to night on November 11, and heavy rain appeared in the southeastern region.

The average precipitation of the whole city is 21.6 mm. The maximum precipitation is 85.7 mm in Wangtan Town, Leting. The maximum hourly rainfall intensity is 18.6 mm/h in No. 1 Island, Caofeidian Oilfield. The maximum wind speed is 30.9 m/s (grade 11) at the ore terminal.
